Sketch Cards / Into the Buildings

DSC_2045

We created accordion sketch cards to analize some buildings and their specific features, especially I tried to focus on spaces in that buildings.

Here are some examples of buildigns that I worked on;

DSC_2050

BIG – HoneyComb

This is a building from BIG. The main feature about its spaces, all departments has its own special open area, and personel pool. Open area and the pools are connected to each other, but outside. So it has ”private outdoor spaces”

DSC_2051Rem Koolhas – Maison Bordeaux

This buildings was designed for a quadriplegic user. It has a elevating part of floor which can reach each floor. So that we can say that ”building is creating its changing spaces by itself.”

Rem Koolhas – Villa Dall’ava

Building both vertically and horizantally consist of almost equal spaces mostly devided by staircases, therefore there is a ”balance of spaces”

DSC_2047Preston Skott – Torus House

The building consists of one ax, and ”two main spaces devided (also connected) by sprial staircase.”

Rem Koolhas – Dutch House

This house also has one ax which concludes ”one flowing space.”

DSC_2048BIG – Lego House

This concept aims to create ”izolated spaces”, however at the same all spaces are interconnecting by being next to each others.

Curiousty – Milligram St – C1 House

The main space is surrounding by a walkway. Spaces are not designed by walls or slabs, ”seamless movement”
